DJI Mic Mini only playing out of one ear in your headphones? In this video, Matthew G troubleshoots the problem and shows the receiver, iPhone Camera, and Blackmagic Camera app settings that helped fix the issue.
This video walks through a real-world DJI Mic Mini audio problem where the mic appears to be connected, but playback sounds like it is only coming through one side of the headphones.
Matthew starts by connecting the DJI Mic Mini receiver to the DJI Mimo app, checking the receiver settings, switching the receiver to mono, and turning safety mode off. Then he connects both transmitters to show that the audio is balanced, even when the receiver is set to mono.
He also shows why he leaves the iPhone Camera app and Blackmagic Camera app in stereo, including a quick look at both audio lines working in Blackmagic Camera while recording.
This setup is especially useful if you want a simple workflow for editing in iMovie without having to fix audio channels later in a more advanced editor like Final Cut Pro.
